Jorge Lima is the senior vice president of policy at Americans for Prosperity, a grassroots organization dedicated to advancing policy solutions to help empower people, including issues like free market, fiscal conservatism, free speech, education reform, and immigration reform, among others. He is also vice president of immigration and economic progress for Stand Together, the Charles Koch-founded umbrella organization under which Americans for Prosperity falls. Jorge previously served as the executive and policy director of The LIBRE Initiative (now an affiliate of Americans for Prosperity as well as vice president of operations and policy). Prior to joining AFP and The LIBRE Initiative, Jorge served as strategic policy advisor to Luis Fortuño, governor of Puerto Rico. In this role, he advanced the agenda of the Government of Puerto Rico. Jorge also practiced law as an associate at the law firm of Holland & Knight. He began his career as an attorney for the city of Miami and is a member of the Florida Bar. He serves on the board of directors of Yes.Every.Kid. Jorge is a Fellow of the Civil Society Fellowship and a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network.
